Job Opening: Ranch Hand - Agribusiness Aide

1. Fencing, Barn, and Grounds Upkeep: Your primary responsibility will be to care for our farm and its land. Which, in turn, is caring for our livestock. This will include regularly inspecting and repairing fences, gates, and other farm structures to maintain a secure and safe environment for the animals. Other maintenance duties will be animal related, such as keeping the barn, animal pens, and other farm areas clean and organized.
2. Livestock Care:  Duties will involve feeding, watering, and ensuring the overall health and safety of all animals on Lapco grounds.
3. Equipment Operation: Operate farm machinery and equipment such as tractors, trucks, and ATVs to assist with various tasks like feeding, hauling, and cultivating.
4. Crop Assistance: Depending on the season, you may be required to assist with planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops.
5. Assist with Veterinary Care: Provide support during veterinary visits under the guidance of a veterinarian and our Ranch Manager.
6. General Farm Labor: Help with general farm duties as needed, including but not limited to cleaning, mending equipment, and other miscellaneous tasks.

1. Experience: Prior experience working on a farm or with livestock is preferred but not mandatory. We value individuals who are willing to learn and have a genuine passion for farm life.
2. Physical Fitness: This role involves physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy feed bags, bending, and walking on uneven terrain. Candidates must be in good physical condition.
3. Reliability: Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of the farm.
4. Animal Handling Skills: Familiarity with handling and caring for farm animals is a plus, but training can be provided.
5. Team Player: You'll be working closely with ranch management. The ability to work well as part of a team is crucial.
6. Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
